Ducted

Your Bonfire store,
in every shopping channel.

Paste the store address. Nothing to install, nothing to export.

Bonfire is where many creators, causes and fundraisers sell custom apparel: each design offered in a few garments and colours, printed and shipped by Bonfire. Ducted reads the designs from your store address - or from any design page in the store - so every colour and size is ready to map before you have opened a spreadsheet.

Creator merch rarely comes with a feed

Ad platforms assume a store that plugs in: an app, a catalog connector, an export button. A Bonfire store is a set of design pages, so getting its products into Shopping results or a retargeting catalog usually means building a feed by hand - one row per colour and size.

Ducted takes the store address and builds those rows from the store itself. Nobody produces a file, nothing goes stale between uploads, and a new design is in the feed on the next refresh.

Every colour and size as a structured record

The designs arrive as structured records, not page text. Every colour and size carries the fields a shopping feed is built around.

Every record carries
  • Title from the design and the garment, and the design's own description
  • Design page link, the featured side as the main image and the other sides as additional images
  • Price in US dollars, in or out of stock
  • Colour, size and product type, for example Premium Unisex Tee
Variants

Every size and colour, its own record

Every colour and size arrives as its own record, grouped under the design and product type - the shape Google Shopping and Meta ask for with apparel. Each record carries its own price in US dollars and is in or out of stock: a design whose sale has ended, or a colour with no size on offer, reads out of stock exactly as the store page shows it.

Each feed picks its rows: per size and colour, or per product →
Maps itself

The fields arrive pre-marked, so a new project maps itself: create a Google Shopping or Meta catalog feed and id, title, description, link, images, price, availability, colour and size are filled in before you touch anything, with item group and product type matched by name.

Not in the source

GTINs, a brand name and sale prices are not in what Bonfire publishes. Set the brand as a fixed value on the project; where a channel wants a product identifier, add it from a second source with Feed Mixer.

Read twice a day, not every hour

Reading a Bonfire store means walking its own shop API rather than downloading one file its owner published, and every design costs two reads of its own. Scheduled refreshes on a connected store therefore run at most every twelve hours, whatever your plan allows for feed URLs - being a good guest on a merchant's own server is worth more than an hourly number that nobody's prices change at.

Refreshing by hand is unaffected: that is a person asking once, and you can do it whenever you like.

Refreshed on schedule, watched in between

Ducted re-reads the store on every scheduled refresh, so new designs appear and a design whose sale ends drops to out of stock without anyone touching the feed. The shape of the data is checked on every refresh as well: if Bonfire changes what it publishes, Ducted tells you rather than quietly serving an empty feed.

Common outputs for a Bonfire store

One mapped catalog, one output feed per channel. Each template carries that platform's required fields, accepted values and format rules.
