No. Ducted works with any data source: upload a CSV, TSV, XML, JSON, or XLSX file; point to a supplier feed URL (CSV/TSV, XML/RSS, or JSON - including Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce); or use our website indexing service. Website data extraction is entirely optional.
We index the website or API for you - collecting product data automatically and populating a Ducted project. It's a one-time service starting from $49; actual price depends on site complexity. A quote is always provided before any work begins.
The Index Maintenance Plan keeps your web indexer running on a schedule and handles all maintenance. It covers scheduled data extraction runs, reconfiguration when the site structure changes, and notifications when issues are detected. The monthly rate is quoted per scraper - it scales with your source's record count, refresh frequency, and proxy needs, and we show indicative tiers on the website indexing page. You can take it with your setup or switch it on later at your quoted rate. Without it, the indexer runs once during setup - you receive your data, but there are no scheduled re-runs and fixes are quoted separately.
Feed Setup is a done-for-you mapping service. If you already have data in Ducted but don't want to handle field mapping yourself, we'll build your output feeds for you - mapped, formatted, and ready to plug into any platform. It's one flat price with everything included: direct mapping and formatting, template (concatenation) fields, conditional IF / ELSE logic, and math-based calculated fields. Up to 5 feeds are included, with a flat rate per extra feed. You order it in-app from any project that has data. Feeds are built based on the fields available in your source - required platform fields not present in your data will be flagged in the delivery report.
Each project is one data source: one product catalogue, one supplier feed, one indexed website. You can create multiple feeds (Meta Catalog, Google Shopping, VLA, custom…) from each source - up to your plan's per-project feed limit. The built-in Raw feeds never count toward that limit.
Records are the items (products or listings) in a project - 2,500 on Free, 10,000 on Starter, 30,000 on Pro, per project. If your source has more records than your plan allows, your feed keeps working and serves the first records up to your limit. Nothing is deleted - upgrade and the rest are ingested automatically on the next refresh. Need more than 30,000 records per project or retail-scale volume? Contact us about an Enterprise plan.
Pro includes 15 projects, and you can add extra project slots in packs of 5. For higher volumes - more projects, more than 30,000 records per project, or retail-scale catalogs - contact us for a custom Enterprise plan tailored to your needs.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately after payment. Downgrades apply at the start of the next billing cycle; you keep your current features until then.
