Project Types Explained

Projects · Updated 12 Jul 2026

Ducted supports three project types, each suited to a different data source.

Upload

Best for one-time or infrequent data imports. You upload a CSV file directly from the project Settings tab. To update the data, re-upload a new CSV - this replaces all records.

  • Supports manual re-upload at any time
  • All columns preserved exactly as uploaded
  • No automatic refresh

Feed URL

Best for data that lives at a public CSV URL - e.g. a supplier data sheet, a Google Merchant Center export, or any regularly updated CSV file. Enter the URL and Ducted fetches and imports all records.

You can set a scheduled refresh (hourly, daily, etc. depending on your plan) to keep data current automatically.

  • Supports one-time fetch or scheduled refresh
  • Refresh interval limits depend on your plan (see Plans & Billing)
  • The raw feed always reflects the latest fetch

Scraped

Best for product data scraped from websites via ScrappyBro. Links to an existing ScrappyBro job. When the scraper runs, new records automatically appear in Ducted.

  • Status shows Pending until the first scraper run completes
  • Record count reflects the latest run
  • Scrape scheduling is managed in ScrappyBro, not in Ducted
