Feed Templates

Feeds & Mapping · Updated 12 Jul 2026

Templates provide pre-built column mappings for popular advertising platforms. Instead of manually setting every output column name, you start from a template and just map your source columns to it.

The New Feed dialog with the template picker open

Using a template

When creating or editing a feed, click Apply template (shown if templates are available for your account). Select from the list. Mapping rows are pre-filled with the required and optional output column names for that platform.

Required vs optional fields

Required fields show a lock icon - their output column name cannot be changed. This ensures the feed meets the platform's specification. Optional fields can be left unmapped or removed.

Available templates

Templates are created and managed by your Ducted admin. Common platform templates include:

  • Google Shopping - id, title, description, link, image_link, availability, price, condition, brand, gtin, mpn
  • Meta (Facebook) Product Catalog - id, title, description, availability, condition, price, link, image_link, brand
  • Meta Automotive Feed - vehicle_id, make, model, year, mileage, price, image, url, condition
  • Microsoft Shopping - similar to Google Shopping with some additional fields

Template lock notice

When a template is applied, a notice appears at the top of the mapping section reminding you which fields are locked. Locked fields are marked with a padlock icon and cannot be renamed.

Creating templates (admin)

Admins can create and manage templates from the Templates page in the admin section. Templates can be marked as global (available to all clients) or assigned to specific clients.
